It was built in 1901 by Italian Architect Raimondo D’Aronco for Maison Jean Botter, a Dutch national who was the official tailor and couturier of the palace. It is the first known Art Nouveau building in Istanbul. After the comprehensive restoration project of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in 2021, Casa Botter has become a very valuable center in the field of culture as an art center hosting many events, shows and exhibitions.
